Kevin McDowell made his Olympic debut in Tokyo, where he recorded the fastest split of the U.S. Team that earned an historic silver medal in the Triathlon Mixed Relay. Kevin also captured 6th place in the individual race, the highest-ever finish for a U.S. male triathlete at the Olympic Games. Kevin’s celebrated achievements came ten years after he received a devastating Hodgkin’s Lymphoma diagnosis. After undergoing chemo, Kevin battled his way back to elite competition, the Mixed Relay world championship podium, and eventually, the Olympic podium. USA Triathlon named Kevin as the 2021 Elite Men’s Triathlon of the Year. In 2022, Kevin earned his third Mixed Relay World Championship medal, and he is gearing up for a powerful 2023 race season in preparation for the 2024 Paris Summer Games.
