"At the core of SOLOS' DNA is a commitment to understanding and enhancing how athletes and coaches are using technology and data to safely inform and improve their performance," said Tom Futch, Senior Vice President of SOLOS. "Being purposeful about our technology and design is deeply rooted in athlete feedback, and the continuous cycle of feedback and improvements is a key recipe to our success. We look forward to the insight and excitement that will come from Sam's and Phil's experience, and are thrilled to have two of the world's most impressive athletes on board with Team SOLOS!"

A professional cyclist from 2009-2016, Phil Gaimon is a 2x Redlands Bicycle Classic winner and 3x Mount Washington Hillclimb champion. Gaimon is highly active in the cycling community through his Phil's Fondo races, which are putting LA on the cycling map. Gaimon is frequently found on Strava and YouTube interacting with fans, aspiring cyclists and competitive peers, and sharing his experiences as a published author and contributing blogger, including his popular 'Worst Retirement Ever' series.

"With SOLOS technology, I have the power, heart rate and all of the key data I need right in front of my face for workouts and Strava hunting," said Gaimon. "But I don't miss the view, staring down at my handlebars like I did when I was a pro, and I'm safer on the road and able to focus on what's ahead."

Sam Appleton, a more than 10x IRONMAN 70.3 champion prides himself on the methodical and technological approach to triathlons that has given him a consistent edge over the best athletes in the world. Appleton began racing at age 18 and won his first IRONMAN 70.3 race at age 23. Most recently, Appleton competed in Australia's IRONMAN, coming in at first place in under 4 hours. He has a deep interest in AR/VR technology, especially as they relate to sports performance, and is considered a new-age triathlete and the next generation front-man to watch.

"SOLOS Smart Glasses are clearly designed to help the athlete achieve maximum performance," said Appleton. "I appreciate the heads-up display and audio guidance cues because I know exactly how I'm performing in the moment - when it matters most. I am also excited about the ability it provides to stay safe and focused while riding, keeping my eyes on the road. I'm excited to bring the SOLOS Smart Glasses into my training routine and experience first-hand the impact it will have on my performance."

SOLOS recently introduced the new generation smart performance glasses in January. The newest edition empowers performance support for cyclists, triathletes, and runners. The unique SOLOS display optics provide a 'heads-up' see-through experience, allowing athletes to remain vigilant and aware of their environment while a virtual screen with real-time performance data appears in their line of sight. SOLOS also offer features including voice control, group chat communication, real-time audio and visual progress updates and coaching interaction. Featuring a lightweight and elegant design, SOLOS provides the necessary tools in a seamless experience to enable cyclists, triathletes and runners to reach their full athletic potential.
